On a crisp Autumn evening in November 2012, a group of friends got together in a rented artist’s bungalow to experience an event called ‘TASTE OF AUTUMN’; a multiple course dinner thrown by Michael Fietsam and David Horgen featuring local, seasonal ingredients, and a few theatrical surprises. The guests threw in enough money to cover the cost of the wine, and PS UNDERGROUND was born!
Word spread quickly and it wasn't long before each event brought new friends to the table. What started out as a hobby quickly became a “pop-up” dining adventure wherever a table would fit: art galleries, rooftops, gardens, shuttered restaurants, warehouses, and private estates. Over the next 6 years, PS UNDERGROUND hosted hundreds of dinners throughout the Palm Springs area and beyond, each with its own unique theme, and secret menu.
In 2019, we found a permanent home; a 4200-square-foot dining adventure space in beautiful Palm Springs, equipped with a state-of-the-art kitchen and a transformable event space that was customized to curate over-the-top theatrical culinary events. Our space is an intentionally blank canvas, where the creativity of our team of chefs, bartenders, servers, technicians, and performers work their magic.
Today, each of our unique events is custom-designed to surprise and delight our guests’ five senses. We create bespoke culinary, visual, and musical adventures like nothing you’ve experienced before! There is always an element of surprise at a PS UNDERGROUND event.
Adding to the mystery, our menus and entertainment are kept secret right up until the moment we present them to you at your table. We source local, seasonal ingredients, and our menus are based on the theme of the event at hand. Course by course, your adventure unfolds.
